
My good friend Louis made this for me once and it was awesome. I modified it a bit, and so can you (if you decide to make it). Oh, the joys of cooking.
1 head green cabbage FINELY julienned
1-2 red onions Finely julienned (to taste and depending on onion size)
1 red pepper + 1 Green Pepper finely julienned
microwave together until butter is melted and your kitchen stinks:
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 cups white vinegar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 tbs ground dry mustard
1 1/2 tbs celery seed
top veggies with 1/2 cup granulated sugar then pour microwave mixture over that. cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours, preferably a day ahead of time.
I may have the liquids a little out of whack but I think I'm close. feel free to change amounts here. 1 experiment could be subbing in brown sugar for granulated, also add poppy or sunflower seeds if you're down. ENJOY!
