George W. Bush and now Sarah Palin have used their "relatable" character as a tactice to gain votes.
Bush used his fake Texan accent and his small-town mentality to show voters, 'hey, I'm just like you, vote for me and I will carry out your wishes in the White House'.
Sarah Palin has also been quoted saying, "It's time that normal Joe Six-pack American is finally represented in the position of vice presidency."
Well, here is my response to that quote...I DON'T WANT AN "AVERAGE JOE" IN THE WHITE HOUSE, I WANT SOMEONE BETTER THAN THAT!"
Being president, or vice president is a huge responsibilty, like an mind-boggling enormous responsibility. So, NO, I do not want just an average inexperienced American to do a job like that.
I want someone who is almost immortal to be in the office. I want someone who is seriously brilliant, who can relate to the American people (i.e. not a billionare their whole life) and who is willing to take constructive criticism.
If Sarah Palin really thinks that mediocrity will be best for the white house then that is just another reason not to vote McCain/Palin.
