The pope definitely has his panties in a bind when he did this...

At this moment, the Vatican (the pope's home) is trying to block a non-binding proposed UN resolution calling on governments worldwide to decriminalize homosexuality.

Seriously Pope, you don't you have better things to do then codem a NON-BINDING RESOLUTION?! (non-binding meaning, doesn't really matter anyway).

Apparently, not because The Vatican issued a "slippery slope" argument for their opposition to this measure, saying that it could lead to same-sex marriages throughout the world. Apparently gay folks are weapons, once they infiltrate your nation, everyone's gotta have one...or become one.

I'm not convinced. As a straight person that has grown up in one of the gayest cities in the world (San Francisco) and currently lives in another gay city (Vancouver) being Gay doesn't do anything to the straight population (excluding Queer Eye for the Straight Guy).

This is what the UN is calling for:
The measure simply calls on governments from around the world to (1) stop throwing homosexuals in jail, or in extreme circumstances (2) stop executing them. The resolution has been signed by every country in the European Union, and France is due to submit the resolution to the UN on December 10 - the day that we'll mark the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Instead of siding with Europe (and other western Christian-like countries), the Vatican has chosen to line itself up with Iran, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Burundi, Afghanistan, and Sudan and the nearly 80 other countries that punish homosexuality with death or jail time.

I'm sure we could call that sacreligious right?! By siding with these (mostly) Islamic countries the pope must realize that this will not bode well with whatever God he is representing.

Not cool, pope, so not cool. REPENT!
