Companies and Ad Agencies spend millions upon millons of dollars into finding ways to manipulate you to buy things, most if not all of these things you don't actually need. Whether its planned obselecene or just updating already working products to make them seem more glamourous and needed, let's face it, consumers have no chance to just decide for themselves.
This may seem stupid but in the midst of the financial crisis (how many posts have I written with those exact words) we need to protect our hard earned cash and not throw it away, which the western world has been doing for most of the 20th century.
