Winter is gonna be chilly so if you have something to spare, spare it!

Whatever you celebrated this season you must have noticed that there are those that are less fortunate than us and will literally be left out in the cold this winter. If we can't help them find a safe, warm place to sleep then let's make sure they do not freeze outside this chilly season.

Vision Vancouver is calling on supporters to help people suffering from street homelessness this winter by donating any blankets, winter clothes, boots, and warm socks you can spare.

You can drop off items at any of the following organizations:

RainCity Housing and Support Society
Triage Emergency Shelter (707 Powell Street)
Drop Off Time: Anytime – just ring their buzzer. Should you choose to call ahead, their contact information is 604-662-7023 and fromer@raincityhousing.org

First United Church Mission
First United Church (320 E Hastings Street)
Drop Off Time: Contact the church at 604-681-8365 or at mission.office@firstunited.ca to arrange a drop off time

Portland Hotel Society
The Jackson Hotel (475 E Hastings Street)
Drop Off Time: Tuesdays (8 AM – 8 PM) OR contact Kailin See at kailins@phs.ca or 778-997-3930 to arrange an alternative time

Ross Street Temple
Bin in the lobby of the Ross Street Temple (8000 Ross Street)
Drop Off Time: 9AM – 8 PM. Seven days a week

If you have items to donate, but are unable to drop them off yourself, you can call us at 604-568-6913 or email us and we will pick up the items.

This blanket drive is the first of several initiatives Vision Vancouver intends to undertake this winter to help people experiencing street homelessness.
