You don't have to be a republican or a democrat to acknowledge that America is going through some tough times.
During these times thousands of homes have been foreclosed upon mostly because the previous Bush Administartion allowed sub-prime mortgages to take over, leaving thousands homeless.
So, Obama decides to veto a bill that would have allowed banks to go through with shabby foreclosures. I'm cool with that and so should the rest of America because no matter how greedy you are you need your workforce (i.e. the citizens of America) to be able to live somewhere.
What's my point?
I'm not mad about the bill, I'm mad about the press coverage the veto is getting. When I googled, "Obama veto foreclosure," the only "news" articles that came up were from Fox News. Now I put news in "" because Fox really should not call it news and the headline they came up with was just ridiculous: "Today's Powerplay: Dems hope to avoid their own eviction with foreclosure moves." I could barely read the article but it basically spins it to say that the only reason Obama vetoed the bill is so that he could show the public, right before the November election, that he cares about his country.
I don't think I can comment on this further because Fox really knows how to make me so mad I'm made speechless. If that is the point they were trying to make, it really worked.
Trying to help Americans keep their homes from being foreclosed on is not something to criticize but the way the American media is reporting it, should be!
