I wanted to see the Peruvian country side so instead of flying into Cusco, we took the bus from Lima.
The bus was actually quite luxurious; we got two meals, nice leather seats that reclined into semi-beds, and decent bathrooms as well. The Peruvian country side is quite impressive and diverse...if only the roads were not sooo crazy.

How is the air there? What is different about the area as opposed to US?
The air is clean and crisp, like some parts of the mountainous USA. The altitude can make you a bit dizzy though when you first arrive if you are only used to sea level.
