Obama hard at work even BEFORE he's sworn in

Ok, regardless of whether or not you voted for Obama, he is already hard at work wanting to win the public appeal. Personally, I don't think that is a bad thing. I don't remember Bush working before (or during) his presidency, so major kudos to Obama for taking responsibility for a country in disarray. And disarray it is with respect to the current state of the health care system.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the gathering at the Dublin Fire Department about 50 miles east of Indianapolis was among hundreds of discussions occurring across the country this month that the Obama transition team has encouraged as it embarks on the daunting task of revamping the nation's health care system.

Just yesterday Obama and Tom Daschele, former Senate Majority Leader and Obama's nominee as health and human services secretary, were in Dublin listening to people's horrifying stories of ow they simply cannot afford proper medical treatment.

The USA is still the only developed country in the world to not have some sort of universal healthcare system (and considering the state of medicare, no, it doesn't count) and Obama has pledged to renovate the way the Nation approaches healthcare.

Many believe that revolutionizing the healthcare system in America is not possible, however, Tom Daschele quoted Nelson Mandela when he said, "Many things seem impossible until they are done."

A hands off approach to healthcare is just not an option anymore.

It could've have been an abomination but thank God for an Obama Nation!
