...YOU SUCK!
Sorry to be so harsh, but you people don't realize what you are missing!
As a former University student I heard too many excuses for not cooking and ALWAYS eating out. I will now argue against these excuses. If you can present a better arguement I will personally cook you dinner!
1) Cooking takes so much time.
-Wrong: By the time you have called a local take-out place, walked/driven there, dinner could've already been made. Everything I cook takes 30min. or less (even if the recipe says it takes longer). Ok, I'm a vegetarian so meat might take longer, but you should'nt eat too much of that crap either.
2)Eating out is cheaper then buying tons of groceries.
-Wrong again. The first time you grocery shop might SEEM expensive because you buy tons of condiments, spices, dry goods, etc. But seriously, after that, all you need to do is casually buy produce, egss, bread etc. one in a while. Also, you don't have to buy EVERYTHING organic everytime. Pick and choose according to your own ethics. For example, I usually buy all my produce at local stores because I have found it way cheaper. I buy all my condiments and dry good at big stores (like Safeway), which I find it cheap too, and then I buy organic free-range eggs there because I want my eggs to be healthy and not cooped up (get it?!).
If you are used to eating out then of course buying groceries seems expensive, but once you try it you will soon find it way cheaper then eating out.
3) I only eat healthy when I eat out anyway.
-Wrong again, again. How do you think restaurants get loyal patrons, by making the food as HEALTHY as possible? Hell no, they do it by making the food as DELICIOUS as possible, which means lots of oil, butter, and other unhealthy but yummy things. Even salads and sushi have hidden calories and fat in them. Just FYI to all those watching their weight.
So, give cooking a try. Some superficial reasons include: cooking looks sexy, dinner parties are fun, you can brag about your amazing culinary, and you'll probably be in better health too.
Stay tuned for yummy and easy recipes (remember I'm totally ADD, so if I can cook, you can too!)

Banani, unfortunately in some wHACK countries, grocery food is actually heaps more expensive than (some) restaurant foods. Restaurant food is exorbitantly overpriced too, but grocery food is SUPPOSED to be affordable, n'est-ce pas? I'm riding the whole cooking wave, I am, but I can't say that it's saving me money down here in upside-down land. :(
