America a developed country? The U.N. begs to differ

The United Nations (you remember that organization right?!) did a report stating the HUGE poverty gap between the rich and poor in several urban areas in the United States rivals that of many cities in Africa.

The report found that though the cities in the U.S. have relatively lower levels of poverty than many other cities in the developed world, the level of income inequality is very high. They used cities such as Washingtion (hey, isn't that where the White house is?), New York, New Orleans, and Atlanta as prime examples.

And that's not all. Look at what they also reported on:

The most balanced city in the world is Beijing, with the most egalitarian cities on average to be found in western Europe, the report said.
