American troops attack Syria a week before the election, great job stupid!

I am confused. I thought after a failing war in Iraq, a defecit growing out of control, and an overall collapse of the economy would make someone think twice about invading yet another country.

Well, not the good ol' U.S.A (known known as the United State of Anxiety).

The Associated Press released today that U.S. military helicopters launched an extremely rare attack Sunday on Syrian territory close to the border with Iraq.

And the Syrian govt. is not happy about, understandably. The government in Damascus (the capital) has condemned this attack as "serious aggression."

I'm at a loss for words, which is bad considering I'm trying to blog about it. But seriously, are there any rational words for why the U.S. attacked Syria.

My thoughts and wishes go to the families and loved ones hurt in this attack.

I'm going to take a wild guess, but I think Bush is just trying to make things as hard as possible for the next president.

November 4th could not come sooner.
