Dancing to fight climate change? One club in London makes it a reality

I thought this was a regular club trying to get more attention, but this is the real thing and hopefully it will become standard in future dance clubs.

Britian's first "eco-club" named Surya opened in London last week and its generating a lot of intrigue.

The entrance fee to the club is £10 but customers who arrive at the club on foot or on bikes will get in for free, although all clubbers will still have to sign the pledge to fight climate change.

The coolest part of the club is a high-tech dance floor that actually generates power from the people who are dancing on it. As dancers move around on the floor, active materials (mostly ceramic) generate an electric charge that supplies an estimated 60% of the club’s energy needs.

So, you can literally dance to combat climate change!

Check out the video to see how cool this club is. Next time i'm in London, I'll be sure to stop by.
