Ford, Chrsyler, and GM fly to DC to beg for money. How do they get there? Private jet of course! They should really take a hint from Toyota

GM has laid off about 34,000 jobs, closed over 17 US plants and they’re talking about another 5,500 layoffs in the upcoming year.

On Tuesday, they went to Washington D.C. to ask for a tax payer bailout to end their outdated, low quality, wasteful production system.
And here is the funny part (well not so funny if you lost your job to one of these stupids), they all took private jets to ask for tax payer dollars!!!!!
The Ford CEO even stated to Congress that he has had to lay-off workers, close factories, but still has 8 private jets reserved for his executives. Way to cut back jerk!

So, I'm sure the other top auto makers are really suffering too right? Right, but some companies with integrity have decided to do things differently.
How many hourly jobs has Toyota’s American production system laid off in the same time frame? Zero. (If you don't believe me read this article).

It appears that Toyota has some integrity and believes when times get tough, you don't just fire your devoted employees.
Toyota has halted production at its Texas and Indiana plants for the past 3 months. But the 4,500 people who work at those plants have not been laid off.

Latondra Newton, general manager of Toyota’s Team Member Development Center in Erlanger, Ky. explains why Toyota has taken this route. “We’re not just keeping people on the payroll because we’re nice. At the end of all this, our hope is that we’ll end up with a more skilled North American workforce.”

So, instead of firing their workforce, Toyota has been spending these stalled months of production training their employees to better handling this transitioning economy.

I Heart Toyota and any other US company that follows a work ethic like this.

Booooooo to the CEOs of Ford, Chrysler and GM, I never liked your cars anyway!!!!
