Millions of TV's will become OBSOLETE TODAY! Please do your part to recycle these boxes

On February 17, stations will stop broadcasting in analog and switch over to digital. Besides this transition being totally wasteful, there are ways to keep your t.v. or recycle it sustainably.

Before you do anything with your analog tv, please check out these options:

Analog TVs, like most electronic waste, are loaded with toxins like chromium, lead and mercury. Therefore, throwing your set into the garbage is not an option. Many landfills or metropolitian garbage collectors, like Metro Vancouver, won't even take them.

So please, take a couple extra minutes out of your day to figure out the most sustianable way to deal with your T.V.
