Junk food as addictive as crack? No joke!

“This is the most complete evidence to date that suggests obesity and drug addiction have common neuro-biological foundations.”

The UK Telegraph is reporting that addiction to junk food can be paralelled with drug addiction. Have you seen what they put in some fast food? I cannot even pronounce half of the ingredients, sounds like drugs to me! Plus, when obesity suddenly becomes an epidemic then I can understand how addiction comes into play. Fast food is pretty hard to avoid in the 21st century and now its been proven that over years of consuming the stuff, your body and mind create a physical addiction to it.

Although the research conducted has only been done to rats, this type of research is really needed in order to change the way people view nutrition and addiction. Hopefully this research will make food producers (and consumers) think twice about what they put in their food (and into their mouths).
