Review: Kid Cudi overdrive

So, Kid Cudi is pretty new to the scene. He got famous pretty quick for his collaborations with other artists and the numerous remixes people have made of his songs. However, he does only have one album and the fact that he played 5 shows in Vancouver in 4 days seems a bit too advantageous for his own good. He opened for Lady Gaga and played 3 shows at the Commodore, talk about jam-packing your schedule to the brim.
I saw his second to last show on Friday at the Commodore and he did not disappoint, but he also just rapped over his songs and basically did what I do in the shower when I listen to him. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the best either.

Many people paid a lot more then face value to see this guy and complained to no end when he only played for an hour. But what else can he play? He played his set and then said, "sorry Vancouver, that's all I got, thanks!" at least he was keeping it real, but many concert-goers were not impressed at all. If I paid $90 for my ticket I might have to agree with them, but I didn't so I don't.

Also, he didn't bring much stage presence. I had a great time dancing and doing what I do best, but at times I forgot he was performing because he just kept walking from side to side. I also think he was pretty tired, 5 shows in 4 days is a lot to ask and I think it just wore him out.
Don't believe me?
Then how do you explain his outburst? Apparently a wallet fell on the ground and a good concert-going samaritan threw it on stage. Well, this did not bode well for Mr. Cudi and he jumped off of stage and punched the guy in the face. Watch the video here.

Come back when you've made another album and please don't overbook yourself, exhausted artists are so 1995.
