Ok, I read a post about this lovely Van duo offering a free download to one of their songs, crazy, and I remembered how awesome these chicks are.
The Pack A.D. (after death) invokes an early White Stripes allure, but these chicks got a different agenda. I saw them open for someone (guess they weren't that great if I can only remember the openers, ha!) at the Builtmore last April and I was totally blown away. They don't take no guff from anyone. They played their little hearts out like no one was watching and then got the hell off stage as if they were expecting boos or something. Quite the contrary, everyone was cheering because these gals got all our panties in a bind....and we loved it!
They are on tour right now and shan't be back in their home Vancity until their album release on April 27th.
In light of the new Runaways movie coming out which, is supposed to remind us that there was once a time when women did not "do" rock-n-roll, I feel like the Pack A.D. reinforces the fact that women can rock out with their proverbial cocks out.
The best part is...if you don't agree they don't seem to care.
