Richards on Richards opens new club called 560

Richards on Richards was my favorite venue in Vancouver. They said they were going to close it so many times I actually stopped believing them. Unfortunately, they did close last April with rumors wafting of a new Richards opening soon.

I don't usually believe hearsay but Beyond Robson is reporting that Richards is indeed opening a new club.

The new club is called 560 and its located on Seymour St. If you are familiar with the area then you know that the new location is where the old A&B Sound used be located (R.I.P music stores).

This new club will be set up similar to Richards except it will have three levels, host live shows on the week days and mainly be a club on the weekends.

Apparently the club was open during the Olympics but they are currently still renovating and putting a couple extra coats of paint on it before they officially open their doors.

If you ask me I'm stoked. I come from the lucky land of San Francisco where, if we have one thing its amazing venues to see live shows. Vancouver is an awesome city but it still needs cool venues to host the ambush of music invading this Pacific Northwest city on the daily.
