Arnold just signed a bill to decriminalize marijuana

I'm sure he's no stranger to this "performance enchancing" drug.
Regardless of how he feels about the shrubby plant, on October 1st, Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill that would make having less than an once of marijuana a civil infarction, instead of a misdemeanor.

Key things to know:

• Don't carry more than an ounce on you.


• The law does not go into effect until January 1st, 2011 so it will still be considered a misdemeanor until then.


• You still can't smoke in public or around minors and you will still be prosecuted for that.

This is good news consider way too much tax dollars are going to jails for prosecuting kids who just don't know better. This is not a solution to drug crime but it is a step in the right direction.
