The Ruffled Feathers serenade my soul

So a dear friend of mine called me up and said, "hey, wanna go to Falconetti's and hear some good music?" Now, when someone says, "good music" its usually quite subjective and you never know what you are going to get, but after seeing the Ruffled Feathers, I will never doubt his taste in music ever again.

I was blown away. They lit up the bar with their sparkly choir pop/gypsy rock and they looked damn good doing it.

I don't know much about this band so I'm more writing this to expose everyone else to them.

The band was tight, and I mean that in a slang and literal way. They looked at ease on stage and all their instruments played together swimmingly.

The dim lights and the females singers sweet-as-candy voice totally memorized the audience. Hearing the soft trumpet was like a lullaby and the bassist kept the tempo steady as a rock.

I'm not really sure what else I can say except I'm a fan! I can't wait to see this ensemble again and if you have a chance check them out on Myspace and Facebook. By the looks of their pages, they are also quite artistic (or just have amazing taste) and it shows in their videos and album art.

Check out their video for Ghost Pirates its simply splendid.
